ESV has entered an exciting growth phase and we're after an experience accountant with a passion for Business Advisory and Taxation. We are a market leader in providing business advisor and taxation services to businesses, family groups and high net wealth individuals. Our clients range from dynamic start-ups to listed entities, large family groups and inbounds.

Our tax team provide strategic tax consulting in the areas of:

• Corporate and international tax
• Reviewing tax provisions
• Deferred tax calculations
• Preparation of detailed memorandums of advice (we do some really interesting work)
• Tax controversary

What you’ll be doing

• Manage your own portfolio
• WIP management
• Work directly with clients
• Assisting Partners with preparation of tax advice (if you have Corporate Tax experience that would be advantageous)
• Contribute to internal projects – which drive innovation at our firm
• Mentor members of the team

What you need to succeed

• Four to five plus years’ experience in a professional accounting practice in a Business Advisor / Tax role
• Completed your CA or CPA (or equivalent)
• Understand current tax legislation, principles and reporting requirements
• Good technical, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Clear communication style - you’ll chat to colleagues and clients via email, telephone, Teams and face to face
• Desire to learn and to maintain technical knowledge.
• Ability to build long-lasting client relationships
• Experience with working to budgets, meeting productivity targets and an ability to train and mentor junior team members
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and strong stakeholder management
• A self-starter who can manage autonomous work as well as sharing ideas to drive team culture and success
